Hello…

Most people call me Jac.

I’m a mother of two daughters and together with my husband we live by the ocean on beautiful Wadawurrung Country. Before the birth of our first daughter, the only parenting books I read were “Baby in a Backpack in Bhutan” and “How to camp with children”.

A baby wasn’t going to interrupt my adventures!

change was inevitable…

…and I was unprepared.

Second time around was a little different, and I read passionately about traditional postpartum practices that supported, nourished and celebrated new mothers. Traditions that our grandmothers and those before them practiced. I longed to learn more and reclaim a little of what we once had.

my other love is the wild outdoors.

I love swimming in the ocean, hiking through the bush, riding my bike through the dirt and falling asleep beneath the stars.

I have a career in environmental science and I feel passionate about bringing these elements into my work with new parents - whether it be supporting parents to connect with nature (a short walk in nature with your little one), sourcing local produce for your meals or helping set up eco-friendly household systems, like cloth nappies.

and finally…

I’m a trained Iyengar Yoga teacher and can weave some gentle asanas and meditation into your recovery.

I am insured, have a Working with Children’s Check and a graduate of the Newborn Mothers Postpartum Professional course.
